Ethanol fuel cell testing: Nissan is testing what could prove a real champion of efficiency in Brazil. The Japanese now showed the Solid-Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) system working inside an NV200. That prototype allegedly runs for 600 km on the “e-Bio Fuel Cell” without the need for reloading hydrogen as it uses ethanol to produce H2 on board. Nissan says it will proceed testing the EV with a 24 kWh battery on public Brazilian roads.
