Solo is coming: Canadian Electra Meccanica has announced its electric three-wheeler Solo for September 9th. Pricing is said to start at 19,888 Canadian dollars (15,150 USD). The 8,64 kWh Li-ion battery allows for a maximum range of 160 km, while top speed is set at 220 kph.

China takes over production lead: According to the McKinsey Electric Vehicle Index, China is now the most important country in terms or churning out EVs, pushing Japan into second place. Germany still holds the third position, but is said to have the most potential. It could therefore take the lead in the coming five years.
