Construction of the 52m euro project will likely start mid-2017. BMW did not comment yet, but said they would release a statement about the issue today.

BMW racing: BMW plans to return to the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), and therefore 24 hours of Le Mans. The carmaker is looking to take part in the Formula E, but not before they have a car that can compete from start to finish. At the moment, racers are still required to change cars mid-race.
