Aston & LeTV e-racer: The British brand and Chinese internet firm have agreed to build an electric sports car based on Aston’s RapidE concept. LeTV, now called LeEco, will be responsible for the electric drive and battery, as well as other partners from China. But the car will be assembled in Great Britain. Launch is expected by 2018 and LeEco plans to use the EV platform for other projects, i.e. Faraday Future.

BMW i5 takes shape: It looks like the third model of the i-series is going to be a roomy crossover that makes it easier to integrate the battery, Auto Motor & Sport reports. The BMW i5 is expected to launch by early 2021.

Lexus with V6 hybrid: The luxurious LC 500h will be propelled by a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine and a 45 kW electric motor powered by a Li-ion battery. The system delivers a total of 265 kW. Lexus will debut the hybrid in Geneva next month with production start set for 2017.
