Exactly 6,704 electric cars were sold in the U.S. this September, a moderate increase of 7 percent compared to the same month last year. Plug-in hybrid sales stand at 3,038 units, a decline by almost 10 percent. Hybrid cars found 32,106 buyers in September (+2.3 percent).
