Set to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month, the Audi e-tron quattro concept will be powered by three electric motors (one on the front axle and two on the rear axle) and feature a battery pack with cells from LG Chem & Samsung SDI, allowing for a potential range of more than 500 kilometers (310 miles).

Daimler to axe Tesla drivetrain: Mercedes will no longer use Tesla’s drivetrain for the next generation of its electric B-Class, according to a new report from German car magazine Auto Motor und Sport. The carmaker is reportedly planning to develop its own components and will buy the battery from somewhere else, aiming to achieve a driving range of 500 km (310 miles) for the 2nd gen B-Class Electric Drive.
