Patrice Ratti, managing director of RenaultSport is open to hybrids in his segment, as long as they enhance the performance of his road models. Purely electric cars require too much batteries at the moment.

Mike Flewitt, CEO of McLaren, is thinking along similar lines although at another price point. He believes that in ten years, at least half of all McLarens will be hybrids.
