Most of the 2,000 hybrid cars ordered by car dealers in Sri Lanka are stuck at the country’s Hambantota Port. Dealers are unable to pay for the cars after currency fluctuations and high taxes on hybrids have made the vehicles a lot more expensive. If the cars are not paid for soon, they will be auctioned off.
