Audi R8 unveiled: Audi has released first official images of the new R8, as well as technical details of the all-electric e-tron version. It delivers 340 kW with a maximum torque of 920 Nm and will be able to go 280 miles on a single charge, due to a battery pack with a capacity of 92 kWh. According to the German carmaker, the Audi R8 e-tron will be available for order in 2015 upon customer request.

Affordable EVs for Russia: Russian car dealer Revolta Motors announced that it wants to begin selling Chinese built electric cars for as little as 800,000 rubles (about 13,000 dollars) starting this summer. The cars will be delivered by two yet unnamed Chinese manufacturers.

Electric cars made in Turkey: Turkish company DMA says it has signed license agreements with three countries for the mass production of its electric cars. These will allegedly have a range of 248 miles (400 kilometers) and are currently priced at 180,000 Turkish lira (about 72,000 dollars).

Electric scooter Delivery: German manufacturer Trinity Electric Vehicles introduced its electric scooter Delivery 3.0. It features a large cargo box and is offered with different types of changeable batteries that allow for a range of up to 110 kilometres. The starting price is set at 2,599 euros (2,914 dollars).
