155 European fast chargers: European Long-Distance Electric Clean Transport Road Infrastructure Corridor (ELECTRIC), that is part of the EU’s TEN-T program (we reported) is becoming concrete. Together, ABB, Clever, Fastned, Öresundskraft and VDE will erect 155 multi-standard fast-chargers along Europe’s motorways – 67 in Germany, 35 in Sweden, 30 in the Netherlands and 23 in Denmark.

European roaming: The New Motion (TNM) found a new partner in British Charge Your Car. The latter’s 2,000 charge points in the UK will now be accessible to TNM customers while British EV drivers will be able to charge at about 15,000 stations in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria and Luxembourg.

New service for FCV drivers: Kicking off with Toyota Mirai, Fujitsu started a new hydrogen station data management service, that accesses real-time information on the locations and hours of operation of hydrogen stations in Japan and sends it to FCV driver’s smartphones and car navigation systems.

Electric buses in Geneva: The Swiss city has deployed two electric 22-passenger-buses built by Italian company Breda Menaribus that will serve route 36 through Geneva’s Old Town. Routes 32 and 35 may soon be run electrically, too.

Intelligent charging: General Electric uses elements of AI in its latest charging stations designed to manage EV charging intelligently. Five stations are currently tested at FedEx in New York. The system takes into account holidays, weather, grid load and also “learns” from the building’s past energy use.
