E-buses for Berlin: The German capital will start its service with electric buses featuring inductive charging by summer 2015. The line 204 runs from central Zoological Garden to the south-west and will be served with four Urbino 12 buses built by Solaris. Pessimistic scenario: Lux Research doubts that Tesla’s Gigafactory will bring down battery cost essentially. The analysts base their forecast on the belief that the Californian EV maker would only be able to realise half of its targeted sales of 500,000 EVs by 2020. The Gigafactory would then run with significant overcapacity and thus only bring down the price for the Model 3 by 2,800 dollars.
