Says Catherine Tucker. The associate professor of marketing at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) hopes that Tesla sharing its patents could lead to the creation of industry standards and create more competition to push the EV market to the next level.

Koert Groeneveld, Head of Research & Development Communications at Daimler, sees standardisation of infrastructure as the biggest hurdle. It seems he wants to make sure that Daimler is not left out of the process of creating that standard.
