Concentrated battery competence: The Research Centre Jülich, together with Münster University and RWTH Aachen have now founded the Helmholtz-Institute Münster (HI MS) or ‘Ionics in Energy Storage.’ There, they want to join forces in research and development of batteries. The focus of their research activities lies on electrolytes which are the key to develop new storage technologies.

Delivery via air: The university of Cincinnati and AMP Electric Vehicles have developed an autonomous and unmanned flying electric vehicle. The HorseFly is an octocopter destined to support AMP drivers of electric trucks with their deliveries.

Tesla in Japanese: The Californian car maker has named its partner of choice, NTT Docomo, to provide communication services starting with 3G for the Model S in Japan. Tesla will start selling in Japan later this summer.
