With 100,000 Nissan Leafs and 70,000 Chevrolet Volts sold globally only four years after its introduction, EV sales are outpacing hybrid sales by far. In comparison, IHS Automotive has found that the Toyota Prius had only been sold 52,000 times in its first four years.
